Media Accreditation

• Photographers, videographers and media only need accreditation to cover Olympic Oval events during ISU World Cup or World Championship events
  • Essent ISU World Cup Speed Skating happening on December 4, 5, 6, 2009 - Proper media accreditation is required  to cover this event. Please see the Organizing Committee Calgary web site for full information.
  • Media Accreditation form is available here through OOC
• If you are interested in taking photographs, video taping or interviewing any athlete, coach, staff person or member of the public at the Olympic Oval, you must contact the Communications Director (Don McSwiney) for approval
• No photographers, videographers or media are permitted in the infield during long track speed skating competition without approval from the Olympic Oval Communications Specialist
• No photographers, videographers or media are permitted on the ice to conduct interviews, film or take photograhs without wearing skates
• If you are interested in taking photographs, video taping or interviewing any National Team or National Development Team speed skaters or coaches, you must have the approval of Speed Skating Canada

• If you would like to contact Olympic Oval athletes, coaches or staff for interviews, public speaking requests, media appearances or sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Olympic Oval Communications Specialist (Bridget Cox)
• Contact information for any Olympic Oval athletes and coaches cannot be shared due to privacy regulations, please go through the Olympic Oval Communications Specialist to contact athletes and coaches
• For public speaking requests of Canadian National Team athletes at local schools, please visit the YES Program offered by the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary

Photography & Video

• NO FLASH photography is permitted during speed skating competition or training
• NO photographers or video are permitted in the infield during long track speed skating competition
• No photography of National Team or National Development Team speed skaters may be published or used for marketing or promotional purposes without approval from Speed Skating Canada
